Psalm 122-125

Delayed again... So Sorry for those of you trying to read this the day it is supposed to go live.

Here is a link to the Psalms on BibleGateway.com.

Pretty brief remarks today:

122) Sounds like the more rural folk idolizing the city as a proper place suitable for the LORD. Praying that it should stay that way.

123) vs 3-4 We've had it with these proud, boastful rich folks looking down at us like they're better than us.

Imagine if 122) was written on the first day the pilgrims come into Jerusalem and 123) is a day or two later after having met some of the inhabitants...

124) Thank you God for looking out for us in our times of Great trouble and distress.

125) Standing among the mountains in a valley with hills rising alll around you is an awe inspiring sight that certainly brings feelings of smallness.  To picture God as the mountains surround us seems like a reasonable image to me.

What are your thoughts about these psalms?
